Our Approach to ESG

At Liberty Latin America, we believe in leading the change for a more sustainable future for our employees, our customers, our communities, and our shareholders by operating in ways that help make our world a better place. We continually strive to improve our efforts to prioritize environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) issues, and we track our progress in meeting our goals.

We are excited to release our second annual ESG report, demonstrating our continued commitment to enhancing ESG practices across our operations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

CEO WELCOME MESSAGE

On behalf of everyone at Liberty Latin America, I am proud to share this report on our company’s progress regarding the environment, social change, and governance (ESG). This year was one of great achievements for our business as we took strides to increase the positive impact we have on our employees, our shareholders, and the communities we serve.

Environment

We recognize the contribution our industry makes to carbon emissions and have begun an end-to-end review of our emissions data. In 2021, we calculated our Scope 1 and 2 emissions and are using this as a baseline to set goals to reduce our overall emissions and make our business more energy efficient. We are also gathering information on our Scope 3 emissions and aligning our findings to set science-based targets to reduce our emissions. By gathering this data, we have identified locations and areas to focus our reduction on grid electricity and carbon-emitting fuels.

Our passionate, engaged, and dedicated workforce contribute to the communities in which we operate. Our employees play a critical role in our ESG efforts. This includes employee involvement in our foundations across our markets that provide millions of dollars and thousands of hours of volunteer service in support of learning, environmental sustainability, digital access, and disaster relief.

Governance

We are dedicated to conducting our business with honesty, integrity, and inclusivity, and to leading by our example. We train our employees around our code of conduct, anti-corruption efforts, and we have an active approach to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), including launching a global program to combat Gender-Based Violence, which we have made publicly available for other companies who might emulate it.
